Faith alone does not make anyone a follower of Jesus.
Life is full of challenges, setbacks, hurdles, heartbreaks, and crisis - both big and small. Sometimes it takes everything we've got just to cope with the day-to-day of life without loosing our minds and giving in to our old dysfunctional strategies - sometimes we compromise.
When we do, it is easy to justify our compromise in light of the difficult struggles we face, our human nature, and the culture we live in that we tell ourselves is so much worse that we are. Over time, we grow more and more accustomed to compromise and begin to think that what we do about what we believe is less important that what we believe. When this happens, there is no end to what we are willing to compromise, and what we believe becomes less and less relevant.
The scriptures teach us that God cares deeply about how we live our lives - not just what we believe about Him. We invite you to study the book of James with us as we discover the place that "WORKS" has in the life of any follower of Jesus.
